Abstract: International Networks and Networking

In this talk, we will survey research and education networks around the globe and how the US infrastructure connects with them with a focus on the importance of exchange points like PacificWave. We will also discuss the emerging GLIF infrastructure and how exchanges are becoming GOLES (Global Open Lightpath Exchanges).
